Deputy Prosecutor Who Reported To Anti-Corruption Agency Last Week Found With Drugs At Home

(Kuala Lumpur, 24th) A deputy prosecutor who reported to the Anti-Corruption Commission just last week was arrested by police yesterday (Tuesday) on suspicion of possessing drugs at home. The Anti-Corruption Commission emphasized it would not cover up the case and is handing the investigation fully over to the police.
The commission issued a statement stating it will provide full cooperation.
"The Anti-Corruption Commission stresses that it will not tolerate any officer breaking the law or being involved in criminal acts, in order to safeguard the integrity and discipline of the institution."
National Police Chief Dato' Seri Khalid said the deputy prosecutor from the Anti-Corruption Commission arrested by police is involved in drug possession and use.
When interviewed by reporters at the National Police Headquarters on Wednesday, he confirmed the officer's urine test was positive for drugs.
He said that the police are still investigating the case.
