(Bandar Seri Begawan, 31st) — The Public Works Department under the Ministry of Development has issued a statement indicating that Kampung Perpindahan Negara Lugu and its surrounding areas may experience water supply interruptions or low water pressure in the coming days. Residents are urged to make preparations in advance.
The department pointed out that the affected water supply is due to an investigation into leaking pipelines, which has impacted the operations of the Bukit Barun Water Treatment Plant Phase 7. The investigation began at 3 pm the day before yesterday and was successfully completed at 5:30 pm.
The Public Works Department stated that the water treatment plant has now resumed normal operations and water supply is being gradually restored. However, some areas may still face brief periods of unstable water pressure until the system is fully stabilized.
The authorities urge residents to conserve water and avoid unnecessary wastage during this period to help the overall water supply system recover as quickly as possible.
Should there be a need to apply for water tanker support services, the public can call the Darussalam hotline 123 for arrangements.
