On the 2nd, a car ramming and stabbing incident occurred outside a synagogue in Manchester, UK, resulting in 2 deaths and 3 injuries. Police have classified the incident as a terrorist attack.

The UK Counter Terrorism Police stated that the attack left 3 people dead, including the suspect who was shot and killed by police, while another 3 civilians were seriously injured. Police have identified the perpetrator as a 35-year-old British citizen of Syrian descent, and two other individuals have been arrested.

On the morning of the 2nd, outside the synagogue, a car veered erratically before crashing into a crowd. The driver then got out and stabbed passersby with a knife.

With combined resistance from synagogue guards and some congregants, the attacker was unable to enter the synagogue and cause more casualties, but 2 Jewish people were still killed in the attack.

The police have urged the public to "remain vigilant" and said they are mobilizing all resources to investigate all related leads in the coming weeks.

UK Prime Minister Starmer issued a statement on the day, announcing he has ordered the deployment of additional police forces to synagogues across the UK.

● Israeli Prime Minister: Shares the Grief

Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu stated that Israel shares the grief of the UK Jewish community.

He said: "Our hearts are with the families of the victims, and we wish the injured a speedy recovery. As I warned at the UN: Weakness in the face of terrorism will only bring more terrorism. Only strength and unity can defeat it."
