A train derailed in Thailand on the 9th, injuring 9 people.
According to reports, the train consisted of 12 carriages and was traveling from Narathiwat Province in southern Thailand to Bangkok. At around 5 a.m., the train derailed near Kui Buri railway station in Prachuap Khiri Khan Province. None of the carriages overturned in the accident. The injured included a monk, a girl, and seven women.
Railway officials stated that the injured were sent to hospitals, while the remaining passengers reached their destinations by other means of transportation.
The State Railway of Thailand reported that heavy machinery had been dispatched to handle the derailed train. Southern train services have resumed, but with delays.
