(Singapore, 24th) — A cyclist was caught on camera ignoring a traffic light and attempting to cross an intersection during a red light. As a truck came by, the cyclist braked just in time, narrowly avoiding being run over.
This thrilling incident took place around 9:30am on Thursday (21st), at an intersection along Nicoll Highway.
According to a video posted on the SGRV Facebook page, the cyclist, dressed in a white top, was riding along a main road towards Nicoll Highway.
However, when faced with a red light, he glanced to his right and proceeded to attempt to ride straight through the intersection.
At that moment, a truck was approaching from the left. In the nick of time, the cyclist braked, narrowly avoiding a collision. However, the bicycle, affected by inertia, tilted forward and eventually fell sideways onto the road, with the cyclist nearly losing his balance and falling.
