(Philippines, 24th) A building under construction in the Philippines has collapsed, with 19 people feared trapped under the rubble.
The collapsed building is located in Angeles City, about 80 kilometers north of the capital Manila, and is nine stories high.
Local officials received news of the building collapse at around 3 a.m. Although no deaths have been reported so far, it is usual for 19 people to be working at the construction site during that time, and the authorities are currently searching for their whereabouts.
The city government said preliminary reports show that 24 people have already been rescued from the rubble, with another 2 rescued from a serviced apartment that was affected by the collapsed building.
Authorities are currently confirming the identities of the survivors and hope that the 19 workers are among those rescued.
