The Wall Street Journal reported on the 10th that as the United States and Iran are about to begin negotiations in Islamabad, the US military continues to deploy aircraft and troops to the Middle East in preparation for possible subsequent military actions.

Citing flight tracking data and US officials as sources, the report said that multiple fighter jets and attack aircraft have recently arrived in the Middle East, and an estimated 1,500 to 2,000 soldiers from the US Army's 82nd Airborne Division are expected to arrive in the coming days. Meanwhile, thousands of Navy sailors and Marine Corps personnel are en route to the region.

According to US Navy officials, the USS Bush aircraft carrier and its escort ships, which departed from Virginia at the end of March, are currently sailing in the Atlantic Ocean; the USS Boxer amphibious assault ship and its escort fleet, which departed from California in mid-March carrying the 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit, are now sailing in the Pacific. These ships may need more than a week to reach the Middle East.

US President Trump said in an interview with US media on the 10th that US warships are resupplying with ammunition and weapons, and that if a deal cannot ultimately be reached with Iran, the US military will resume military operations against Iran.
