(Selangor, 15th) The case of an elderly woman in her seventies found dead at home after several days has been classified as a sudden death case by the police.
Selangor Ampang Jaya District Police Chief Assistant Commissioner Mohamad Azam stated in a press release that the autopsy results showed no suspicious wounds on the deceased.
On Friday (June 13th) at 6:30 PM, the police received a public report indicating a foul odor emanating from a double-story terrace house in Ampang Pandan Indah. Upon investigation, the body of a 76-year-old elderly woman was found in the living room.
“Initial investigations could not determine if there were any wounds due to the body starting to decompose; however, the autopsy results showed no criminal factors, and the cause of death is 'pending investigation'.”
According to earlier reports, a foul odor was emanating from the house, prompting neighbors to check. They were shocked to find an elderly Malay woman, approximately in her seventies, seemingly deceased for several days, lying on the living room floor. The youngest son who lived with the deceased was nowhere to be found.
