The Radboud University Medical Center in the Netherlands, which admitted a patient infected with hantavirus, said on the 11th that due to improper procedures in handling the patient's blood and urine, 12 staff members will be quarantined and observed for 6 weeks.

The hospital released a statement saying that when processing blood samples taken when the patient was admitted, only standard procedures were followed, and stricter protocols specific to the virus were not applied. In addition, when handling the patient's urine on the 9th, the latest international guidelines were also not followed.
