(Bandar Seri Begawan, 14th) His Majesty the Sultan of Brunei will undertake a State Visit to Germany from May 18 to 19, 2026, at the invitation of German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier.
During the visit, His Majesty is expected to hold talks with Frank-Walter Steinmeier. Both parties will discuss issues of mutual concern to reaffirm and further strengthen the bilateral cooperation between Brunei and Germany.
Brunei and Germany established diplomatic relations on May 1, 1984, and to date, the two countries have maintained extensive cooperation in various fields such as trade, defense, education, health, and technology.
This will be His Majesty’s fourth visit to Germany. Previously, His Majesty made a State Visit in 1998, and conducted two official visits in 2002 and 2011 respectively.
