Brunei Distributes Aid Funds to Disaster Victims: 21 Families Receive 17,000 BND

(Bandar Seri Begawan, 14th) The Brunei Sultanate government, through the Social Development Department (JAPEM) under the Ministry of Culture, Youth, and Sports, distributed a total of 17,000 Brunei dollars in financial assistance to 21 disaster-affected families to help alleviate the difficulties faced by the victims and their families.

The aid distribution ceremony was held at the Cultural Centre of the Ministry of Culture, Youth, and Sports and was presided over by Acting Director of the Social Development Department, Faziya.

Among the families who received aid this time, there were 16 households affected by floods, 2 fire-affected households, 2 landslide-affected households, and 1 family whose house had collapsed.

In addition, as extra assistance, two fire victim families were also given food supplies. All family members and residents of the affected households are reported to be safe and unharmed.

The authorities stated that providing this financial assistance aims to help reduce the pressure borne by the victims and their families and to improve their well-being.

The aid also reflects the Brunei government's care and attention towards disaster-affected citizens and residents.
