A female suspect was arrested for alleged drug trafficking and during police interrogation claimed to be 'possessed by a ghost', trembling continuously. Seeing through her act, the police sternly shouted: 'If you’re really possessed, then the ghost should come out immediately, otherwise both the human and the ghost will be locked up together.' As a result, the so-called 'ghost' was scared away, and the woman returned to normal.
According to Thai media 'Thaich8news', this drug trafficking case was uncovered on August 5 this year by the Sapan Police in Lampang Province. Police discovered 5kg of methamphetamine packed in 10 tea bags on a long-distance bus traveling from Mae Sai to Bangkok.
The male suspect confessed that the drugs were from a couple named 'Songyut' and 'Mani' in Mae Sai District, Chiang Rai. Police then applied for an arrest warrant from the court, and eventually arrested the couple behind Mae Sai Hospital.
During the interrogation, the female suspect suddenly lost emotional control, her body trembling as she claimed to be 'possessed by a ghost.' Her husband also chimed in, claiming 'a spirit had entered her body.'
The police then sternly addressed the 'ghost', stating that if it did not come out, both would be taken to jail together. Following this, the female suspect immediately calmed down and cooperated with the investigation.
At present, the two suspects have been handed over to Nanlak Police Station for legal processing.
