The Pahang government will continue to  deliver the best services to the people and investors in the state, said Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail.

He said several approaches had previously been introduced by the state government to reduce bureaucratic red tape, including delegating the authority to approve land ownership transfers to District Officers.

“The establishment and restructuring of several agencies such as Perbadanan Pasir Pahang, Pahang Mining Corporation, and Perbadanan Setiausaha Kerajaan Pahang aim to streamline matters related to natural resources and land, thereby helping to increase the state’s revenue.

“In line with the decree and advice of the Sultan of Pahang (Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah), all revenue collected will be channelled back to the people and the state through various initiatives such as the Pahang Prosperity Initiative Programme and other development projects,” he said in a statement tonight.

Earlier today, the Pahang Ruler decreed that the entire state administrative machinery should enhance and strengthen the public service delivery system to better meet the real needs of the people.

The  monarch also acknowledged the concerns of the people, developers, and investors regarding delays in project approvals and land applications due to prolonged bureaucracy, and called for these issues to be addressed immediately.

Al-Sultan Abdullah conveyed this reminder during the presentation of the instruments of appointment to the new Pahang State Secretary, Datuk Nazri Abu Bakar, and State Financial Officer, Datuk Fadzilla Salleh, at Balai Mahkota, Istana Abdulaziz here this morning.

Wan Rosdy expressed the state government’s gratitude for the Sultan’s consent to the appointment of Nazri as the new Pahang State Secretary.
