(Kuala Lumpur, 6th) The Perikatan Nasional (PN) office was rumored to have closed, but PN Secretary-General Datuk Seri Azmin Ali clarified that it was due to the office lease expiring, and the headquarters’ affairs are still operating as usual.
He said in a statement today that the PN headquarters office had a two-year lease, which expired in April this year, and both the landlord and tenant agreed not to renew the lease.
He emphasized that the PN top leadership had been informed and agreed to this decision.
“The management and affairs of the headquarters are operating as usual. Currently, headquarters staff are continuing their work at informal locations until the relocation is complete.”
Recently, there were media reports alleging that the PN headquarters office had been closed since March this year, and party insiders revealed that they had already stopped paying the office rent.
In addition, some media cited sources claiming that some staff at the PN headquarters were laid off and had not received their salaries from PN.
