In conjunction with the upcoming National Day, Malaysian singer Lai Shengming single-handedly handled the creation, production, and also participated in the performance of the charity single "MalaysiaKu: Nurture the Harmony." The song was officially premiered on August 1 during a brand anniversary celebration held at Sunway Pyramid Shopping Mall.

Lai Shengming shared that this work, which took three months to complete both the music and the music video, is aimed at emphasizing the spirit of national harmony and unity among the people, and delivering a core message: “Harmony is not just an idea; it is a real force that needs to be nurtured whole-heartedly by everyone.”
This song, which blends Malay, English, Mandarin, and Tamil, brings together voices from different races and backgrounds, including children, young adults, and families, symbolizing Malaysians’ collective pursuit of harmony under a multicultural background. Additionally, the participation of the Pink Unity support team from the Malaysian National Association adds even greater significance to this charity song.

For Lai Shengming, "MalaysiaKu: Nurture the Harmony" is more than just a patriotic song; it also carries personal emotions. He admitted, “I had mixed feelings when participating in this song. I had originally planned for my mother and sister to participate, hoping to encourage and commemorate my sister who was battling cancer at that time. But before she could join the MV shoot, she passed away, and now this song has become my tribute to my sister."

Having been in the entertainment industry for many years and always enthusiastic about charity, Lai Shengming’s motivation for social concern stems from his understanding of life. He shared, “Oftentimes, the unfulfilled expectations we face remind us that impermanence is the norm, and that we must cherish those around us. Rather than dwelling on what has already happened, it is better to treasure those we can still embrace, be good to, and who continue to be by our side, caring for us.”
