Fu Zichun’s Widow Grieves: 'He Didn’t Know He Had Leukemia' — Weng Jiaming Visits Funeral Hall to Pay Respects

On the 7th, Fu Zichun suddenly passed away due to acute leukemia. On the 10th, his family opened the funeral hall for friends and relatives to pay their respects. Heartbroken over losing her beloved, Mrs. Fu appeared yesterday dressed in white, wearing sunglasses to hide her swollen, tearful eyes, accompanied by Liao Jiayi and Bing Jiaqi. Looking haggard, she thanked the public for their concern: “I am deeply saddened by the loss of such a wonderful husband. Thank you, everyone, for your concern, and to all the sisters and friends who have stayed by my side. I believe Zichun will continue to work hard in heaven and will watch over us all.”

Mrs. Fu clarified that Fu Zichun did not pass away at home. At the time, he was feeling unwell, so they drove to the hospital, walked to the emergency room, and explained his symptoms to the doctors before any procedures were done. After being sent to the ICU and undergoing emergency treatment, he passed away. The death certificate listed “pneumonia with sepsis, suspected acute leukemia.” Mrs. Fu also stated, “He didn’t know he had leukemia.”

Fu Zichun was well-liked during his lifetime, and more than 30 colleagues from the industry, including Gao Xinxin, Fang Xin, Qian Junzhong, Yong Tu, Lin Wenyi, Li Qianna, Mi Kebai, Wang Can, Lan Weihua, Zeng Ziyi, Cai Changxian, and others attended the memorial. Bing Jiaqi rushed to the hospital at the first moment and saw Fu Zichun one last time, unable to help but say the joke went too far, “He just looked like he was sleeping, resting so peacefully.” Weng Jiaming recalled his strong and healthy impression of Fu Zichun and mentioned that last year he asked him why he hadn’t joined the cast of 'Tofu Mama'.
