Police and Military to Use Budi95 First—Refueling Takes Less Than 30 Seconds!

(Kuala Lumpur, 27th) On Saturday (September 27), police and military personnel were given early access to the RON95 fuel subsidy program “Budi 95”. The usage method has been revealed, and the entire refueling process can be completed in less than 30 seconds!
According to a video uploaded by Malaysia Tribune, a plainclothes man demonstrated at a petrol station how to use the “Budi 95” mechanism to enjoy the RON95 fuel subsidy.
This man tells the camera that it was Saturday (27th) at 12:09 a.m., and he wanted to be “the first consumer to enjoy the RON95 fuel discount.”
The footage shows that he first inserts his MyKad into the card reader slot of the fuel dispenser, after which the screen immediately displays “Remove Card.” Then, the screen shows a “Processing” prompt. He proceeds to pay with a credit card and selects to top up RM2.
When the screen displays “Approved,” he is overjoyed.

According to the government’s earlier announcement, the “Budi 95” subsidy mechanism uses MyKad to verify identity, ensuring that fuel subsidies benefit only eligible groups. After initially providing fuel discounts to military and police personnel, the program will gradually be expanded to other target groups as an important initiative.
According to reports, the government is implementing “Budi 95” to ensure that fuel subsidies are more targeted and to avoid misuse of resources by ineligible individuals. Petrol stations are fully equipped with the required technology, and the public only needs to insert their MyKad for identity verification—the refueling process remains simple and fast.
