At 14:20 on March 28, a 7.7 magnitude earthquake struck Myanmar, with a focal depth of 30 kilometers. The largest city, Yangon, felt strong tremors, and many parts of the country experienced shaking.
After the earthquake, Yangon residents evacuated urgently, rushing outdoors to take refuge. According to reports, a building collapsed in the Mandalay region, and the Ava Bridge within Myanmar suffered severe damage due to the earthquake.
This earthquake marks the 17th earthquake of magnitude six or above globally this year and is also the strongest one so far this year.
