A 7.7 magnitude earthquake struck Myanmar at noon on March 28th. The tremor was strongly felt in Kunming and Dali in China's Yunnan province, which borders Myanmar, as well as in Thailand's capital, Bangkok, and Chiang Mai.
According to AFP reports, police and medical personnel stated that a 30-story government office building under construction in Bangkok collapsed, trapping 43 workers.
Thai authorities have declared a state of emergency in Bangkok.
