The 2025 Spring Festival commemorative banknotes issued by the People's Bank of China began to be exchanged on the 3rd.
The main design on the front of the commemorative banknote features the Snake motif, with the National Emblem of the People's Republic of China, the words “People's Bank of China”, and a seal with the character “蛇” (Snake) in seal script above. Below are the numeral denomination “20” with color-changing ink, the Chinese characters “贰拾圆”, a dynamic hologram, a transparent window, a braille denomination mark, and serial numbers.
The main design on the back of the banknote features a child sticking spring couplets, accompanied by decorative patterns of Shanxi dwellings. Above is the numeral denomination “20” and the pinyin “YUAN”, below are motifs of flowers and dynamic holograms, the year “2025”, the governor's seal, the numeral denomination “20”, and the words “People's Bank of China” in Chinese pinyin and in the respective scripts of the Mongolian, Tibetan, Uyghur, and Zhuang languages stating “中国人民银行 贰拾圆”.
The People's Bank of China recently scheduled the issuance of 2025 Spring Festival general commemorative coins and banknotes, with a nationwide issuance of 100 million coins and 100 million banknotes. Each celebratory coin has a face value of 10 yuan, and each celebratory note has a face value of 20 yuan.
