Russian Azur Air Boeing Passenger Jet Engine Failure Leads to Emergency Landing in Lanzhou, China

A Russian flight carrying 246 people made a safe emergency landing at Lanzhou Zhongchuan International Airport in China after the plane’s right engine developed a malfunction.

Lanzhou Zhongchuan International Airport in Gansu Province stated that a Russian Azur Air flight, number ZF2998, a Boeing 757-200 aircraft, was en route from Phuket, Thailand to Barnaul, Siberia on the 23rd when it experienced an engine failure and made an emergency landing at Lanzhou Zhongchuan Airport.

According to Lanzhou Zhongchuan International Airport, the flight safely landed at 4:51 PM that day, with 239 passengers and 7 crew members on board, totaling 246 people.

Reports indicate that the emergency situation was caused by a malfunction in the right engine of the aircraft, prompting the decision to make an emergency landing at Lanzhou Zhongchuan International Airport.
