(Bandar Seri Begawan, 25th) The Brunei Bar Association participated last Friday in the 2025 International Legal Practice Conference hosted by the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Lawyers Association and the China-ASEAN Expo Secretariat in Nanning, China.
This year’s conference, themed "Joining Hands with ASEAN for a Shared Future," brought together senior representatives and guest speakers from bar associations and legal organizations across ASEAN countries to discuss topics such as cross-border legal cooperation, intellectual property protection, and investment opportunities.
The Brunei Bar Association was represented by President Mohamad Zainidi, who was accompanied by council member Abd Hakim.
The Brunei delegation joined regional peers in a roundtable discussion, during which Abd Hakim introduced Brunei’s laws on intellectual property protection and contributed to exchanges with participants from China and ASEAN countries.
Participation in this conference highlights the Brunei Bar Association’s ongoing commitment to building stronger regional partnerships and ensuring the legal sector of Brunei continues to actively engage in international developments.
