According to the latest poll results released by CNN on the 2nd, nearly 60% of Americans do not support the U.S. taking military action against Iran.
The poll, conducted shortly after the U.S. and Israel launched military strikes against Iran on February 28, shows that 59% of respondents are opposed to military action against Iran, 41% are in favor, and 39% believe the U.S. did not make sufficient efforts to resolve the issue through diplomatic means first. Only 27% believe the U.S. did its utmost to resolve the issue diplomatically before taking military action.
The majority of respondents expressed doubts about U.S. President Trump's approach to the Iran situation. 60% of respondents believe Trump does not have a clear response plan, and 62% believe he should obtain congressional approval before taking any further military action.
According to another poll conducted by Reuters and Ipsos Group on March 1, 43% of Americans oppose the U.S. and Israel launching attacks on Iran, 29% are unsure, and only 27% of respondents are in favor.
