(Miri, 3rd) The Mayor of Miri City, Adam Yii Siew San, stated that the Malaysia Ten Outstanding Young Persons Award for 2025 (2025 JCI TOYM) not only recognizes outstanding young people but also inspires them to bravely pursue their dreams. Through perseverance, creativity, and a spirit of service, they can bring positive impacts to society.
He made the above remarks during the official launch ceremony of the TOYM selection activity held today at a hotel in Miri City.
He thanked the Malaysian Junior Chamber International and the Miri Junior Chamber International for their efforts, making Miri the host of this national event for the first time. He believes that this marks an important step for Miri in promoting youth leadership, innovation, and social responsibility.

He said the TOYM Award honors young individuals who have achieved outstanding accomplishments in their respective fields and have had a profound impact on society. These awardees are not only national pride but also societal role models, capable of motivating more young people to strive courageously for a better future.
The Mayor pointed out that Miri is a city full of potential, and he hopes this event encourages more youths from Sarawak to strive for excellence, actively participate in social development, and use the TOYM platform to showcase their talents and contributions.
He also congratulated the Malaysian Junior Chamber International and the Miri Junior Chamber International on successfully organizing this event and expressed hope that the 2025 JCI Ten Outstanding Young Persons selection activity will inspire more young people to pursue their dreams and work hard, bringing more positive impacts to the country and society.
