Lin Fushan: Malaysia is at a Critical Stage of Transformation—Fujian Compatriots Should Actively Participate in Nation Building

(Selangor, 9th) The President of the Federation of Chinese Associations of Malaysia (FUCA), Tan Sri Lin Fushan, encouraged Fujian compatriots to actively participate in nation building, bringing the enterprising spirit of the Fujian people into the new era by contributing in various fields such as economy, education, technology, and society.

Lin Fushan pointed out that Malaysia is currently in a critical period of transformation. The country's Fujian community should pay attention to major national issues—whether it is economic structural transformation, youth education, technological innovation, or social harmony—everything concerns everyone.

"Fujian people have always been diligent, enterprising, and value integrity. We must continue to uphold this spirit and actively take part in nation building, encouraging the younger generation to be willing to shoulder responsibilities and dare to innovate!"

As the President of the Sungai Way Fujian Association in Selangor, Lin Fushan made this call to the many compatriots present at the "27th Anniversary Celebration and Inauguration Dinner of the New Committee of the Sungai Way Fujian Association," held last night (8th) at the Sungai Way Chinese Primary School hall.

In his speech, Lin Fushan mentioned that his late father, Dato’ Sri Lin Musheng, along with other Fujian compatriots, established the Sungai Way Fujian Association to foster unity and, through mutual support, contribute to the well-being of the community.

"It is this conviction of 'unity and collective progress' that enabled the association to grow from nothing to something, from small to large, developing steadily until today, possessing its own clubhouse, and laying a solid and stable foundation."

Additionally, one of the invited guests, Federation of Chinese Associations Malaysia (Hua Zong) President Dato’ Lin Jiaquan, also expressed his gratitude in his speech to all previous committee members of the Sungai Way Fujian Association for their dedicated efforts over the past 27 years, developing a small-scale clan association into one of the most cohesive organizations in Selangor.

On another note, although Digital Minister Gobind Singh, who was originally invited, could not attend, he still donated RM5,000 to FUCA through a representative, winning applause and gratitude from FUCA leaders.

Other guests at the dinner included Lin Fushan's wife, Puan Sri Wang Ruifang; FUCA Honorary President Dato’ Lin Zhenhua; Vice President Wu Siyi; as well as Sungai Way Fujian Association Vice President Dato’ Lin Lijie, among others.
