Pei Min Plans to Rebuild Gymnasium to Create a Multi-Purpose Sports Center

(Miri, 18th) Following the official completion of the running track, Pei Min Middle School in Miri plans to rebuild the existing gymnasium, upgrading it to a 'Multi-Purpose Sports Center' to enhance school facilities and create long-term economic benefits.

The President of Samling Group and Honorary Chairman of Pei Min Middle School, Dato Sri Lai Kock Poh, an alumnus, expressed strong support for this plan, emphasizing that sports facilities can not only improve the overall environment of the school but also provide stable income for the school to achieve self-sufficiency.

He believes that the sports center should have multi-purpose value, not only for school use but also open to community associations for events, fully utilizing the economic effects to ensure long-term operation and sustainable development.

'Building a multi-purpose sports hall should be well-utilized to function long-term and generate considerable income for the school.'

Lai Kock Poh stated he is willing to provide financial support and calls for collective effort to ensure the smooth completion of the project.

He emphasized that when the school has a stable income, teachers can teach with peace of mind, thus promoting the school's long-term development.

Lai Kock Poh attended the 'Samling Group Donates Track Field' opening ceremony yesterday and listened to the report by Chairman Xu Wei Long at the subsequent exchange meeting. He pledged full support for the school's future development plans, assisting Pei Min Middle School in reaching higher levels.

Lai Kock Poh urges the school, alumni, and all sectors of society to unite and fully promote the construction of the multi-purpose sports center. He believes that only with long-term planning and increased revenue can the school be self-reliant and continuously provide high-quality teaching and learning environments for teachers and students.
