(Kuala Belait, 5th) The Kuala Belait Chinese Chamber of Commerce will be holding its Lunar New Year gathering as well as presenting academic excellence incentive awards to members’ children on February 24, 2026 (Tuesday), the 8th day of the first month in the Bingwu year.
The application requirements for the members’ children’s academic excellence incentive awards are as follows:
- All who have obtained first, second, or third place in the term or annual examination at any local school of any stream.
- Those who pass the P.S.R. Primary Education Certificate Examination and achieve at least three A grades.
- Those who participate in the G.C.E. O Level examination and obtain no more than 20 aggregate points in five subjects.
- Those who pass three subjects in the Advanced Level (A Level) examination.
- Those in local university pre-university programs who pass three subjects in term or annual examinations.
- All those in any local school (except universities) who obtain an average mark of over 80 in term or annual examinations, or whose average is an A; if the student is also top three in class and has an average above 80, only the highest award will be granted.
- Applicants must obtain the application form from the Chamber, fill it in, and submit it together with the original and a copy of the school results transcript for verification. The original will be returned after checking.
- Applications from students studying abroad will not be accepted.
The application deadline is February 10, 2026. Recipients of the academic excellence incentive must collect the award in person.
