(Bandar Seri Begawan, 5th) Jerudong Park Medical Centre (JPMC) has reached another milestone in the field of modern dental care by officially launching its latest Computer-Aided Design/Computer-Aided Manufacturing (CAD/CAM) system and clear aligner treatment services. The launch event, themed “Smiles Evolving: The Power of Digital Dentistry,” was held at the JPMC building.
The Minister of Health and Executive Director of Jerudong Park Medical Centre, Dato Isam, was invited to attend the launching ceremony. JPMC's Head of Dental Department, Ravi Pai, stated that digital dentistry is providing new help to clinicians and patients alike. Whether it’s crafting perfect teeth, effortless repairs, or offering nearly invisible orthodontic treatments, these innovations improve treatment results and transform patient care approaches.
JPMC has introduced enhanced digital dental services, equipped with well-trained specialists, and has upgraded to integrate accurate digital scanning, advanced computer-aided design, high-precision milling, and 3D printing within its CAD/CAM system. For patients, this means more accurate diagnostics, crowns, veneers, bridges, and implant restorations with greater precision, along with more convenient and comfortable orthodontic choices to optimize the overall dental experience.
In addition, JPMC announced the introduction of Invisalign clear aligner treatment services, offering modern, comfortable, and precise orthodontic solutions. The hospital has two Invisalign-certified orthodontists who customize aligners to fit each patient and provide treatment guided by internationally recognized expertise, giving patients a convenient alternative to traditional braces.
The launch event featured two talks: “Unveiling Aligner Treatment” by JPMC orthodontic consultant Dr. James Sunny, and “Precision in Every Smile: Your New Digital Laboratory Partner” by JPMC prosthodontic consultant Dr. Dharma Rai.
With nearly two decades of experience, the JPMC dental laboratory is staffed with skilled CAD/CAM technicians, modern milling machines, scanners, advanced design software, and 3D printing technology. This lays a solid foundation for delivering world-class, technology-driven dental care, prioritizing patient safety, quality, and comfort.
