Myanmar's senior general Min Aung Hlaing emphasized that after the conclusion of the elections, it is essential to promptly convene assemblies at regional, state, and federal levels to ensure a smooth democratic transition.

Min Aung Hlaing, the Commander-in-Chief of the Myanmar Armed Forces and Chairman of the State Administration Council, met with members and families of the military from the Kyauktan Barracks yesterday afternoon at the Triangle Region Command Hall.

During the meeting, General Min Aung Hlaing pointed out that the government has a constitutional responsibility to govern and must conduct multiparty democratic elections using electronic voting machines to minimize election errors. To this end, a nationwide census has been completed to prepare for the election.

He stressed that assemblies at regional, state, and federal levels must be convened after the election. It is imperative that each assembly selects representatives who can uphold the interests of the regions and the nation. The Armed Forces should unwaveringly promote national development, ensure the success of the elections, and maintain peace and stability.

Besides fulfilling national defense duties, General Min Aung Hlaing also emphasized that the Armed Forces should actively participate in the country's economic development. He mentioned that the Armed Forces have continuously supported improving the education level of military children and urged parents to prioritize their children's education and strive to enhance the quality of education.

General Min Aung Hlaing disclosed that the government is advancing nationwide efforts to improve educational standards, providing multiple supports and assistance.

Regarding internal military unity, he pointed out that different forces should strengthen unity and cooperation, and work hand-in-hand with local residents. Additionally, the organizational work outside the military should be systematic and serve the interests of the regions and the people.

After the meeting, General Min Aung Hlaing and his wife, Daw Kyu Kyu Hla, presented food and cash rewards to the Kyauktan Barracks commander and his wife and extended warm greetings to military members and their families.

Also attending the meeting were General Staff Officer (Army, Navy, Air Force) Admiral Moe Aung and his wife, Navy Commander Admiral Tin Aung San and his wife, Air Force Commander General Tun Aung and his wife, senior officers of the Armed Forces Headquarters and their wives, Triangle Region Commander, members of the Kyauktan Barracks, and their families.
