The hot-blooded comedy film ‘NO GOOD! Ojisan’, featuring three award-winning superstars—Christopher Lee, Mark Lee, and Hsu Hsiao-shun—teaming up for the first time, has officially released its teaser poster and trailer, announcing a full Malaysian theatrical release on April 23.
Directed by Zhang Qingfeng, ‘NO GOOD! Ojisan’ tells the story of Yongzhu (played by Christopher Lee), an angry photographer forced into retirement by a back injury, who, after an argument with his son, decides to compete with him via livestreaming. He ropes in his friend Xianglin (Hsu Hsiao-shun), a pharmaceutical boss with no authority at home, and Chusheng (Mark Lee), a career-long assistant director who’s never made it to director, and together they form the ‘OGS Squad’ to take on the livestreaming world as internet celebrities. Not only must the three fulfill their own dreams during the process, but they also aim to make modern youth value the existence of ‘ojisans’ (middle-aged men).
The opening scene of the teaser trailer features the three ‘ojisans’ showcased with flawless skin and chiselled jawlines under beauty filters. Next, Christopher Lee confidently shows off his ‘ojisan’ physique, and finally there’s a hilarious moment of him struggling with his pants being too tight, causing an uproar of laughter and setting expectations high for this uncle-style youth comedy.
