Unexpectedly, on the 2nd, Bai Lu became embroiled in a controversy where she was accused of using a stand-in for a simple tea-drinking scene. Screenshots allegedly from the set went viral, fueling discussion among netizens about celebrities’ use of stand-ins. In response, Bai Lu's team promptly released behind-the-scenes footage to set the record straight.
On the 2nd, unreleased footage from "Mo Li" started circulating widely online. In the video, an actress resembling Bai Lu is seen drinking tea, leading some netizens to question whether Bai Lu was relying on a stand-in for even straightforward dialogue scenes. However, after a careful comparison with the official scene in episode 22 of "Mo Li," it was clear that Bai Lu herself appeared on camera for the entirety of the scene.
In response, Bai Lu's official info site also released behind-the-scenes material to clarify the issue, clearly stating that the circulating footage was "actually lighting test material filmed before shooting began, not official footage from the show." The clarification video also fully documented Bai Lu’s actual participation in the filming on set, putting an end to the controversy.
