(Argentina, 21st) The office of the Argentinian President has announced that President Milei will meet with U.S. President Trump next Tuesday (September 23) during his visit to New York.
According to Reuters, Milei aligns with the United States and Israel in international policy. He will also meet with Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu during next week’s United Nations General Assembly in New York.
This week, Milei reiterated that Argentina will set up an embassy in Jerusalem next year to show support for Israel. Milei has openly expressed support for Trump several times, and the two have met since Milei took office in 2023.
Currently, Argentina is seeking support from the International Monetary Fund for its economic policies. Previously, the ruling party lost the legislative election in Buenos Aires Province, causing major fluctuations in financial markets.
Next Monday (22nd), Milei will meet with IMF Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva, accompanied by Foreign Minister Mondino, Economy Minister Caputo, and other officials.
