According to comprehensive reports from media such as Shangguan News and Guancha.cn on Sunday (December 21), the Zhejiang Provincial Sports Bureau revealed that not only will it continue to promote popular sports events such as ZheBA (Zhejiang Provincial Urban Basketball League), but the eagerly anticipated first Urban Football League of Zhejiang Province has also quietly commenced. Several prefecture-level cities are organizing preliminary competitions in conjunction with their own city-level football leagues.
It is understood that the Zhejiang Urban Football League draws on the mature practices of ZheBA, adheres to the positioning of a “grassroots football” event, and maintains the operation model of “sports as the stage, with culture, tourism, commerce and agriculture as the show.”
The event will be divided into two phases: the preliminary round and the city championship round. In the first phase, each prefecture-level city will hold its own football league in combination with existing mass football events, with local county (city, district) representative teams participating in the city’s mass football league to select athletes eligible for the Zhejiang Provincial Urban Football League.
