(Bandar Seri Begawan, 3rd) The Royal Brunei Police Force (PPDB) has confirmed, after a pathologist completed the autopsy, that the widely circulated case on social media involved a death caused by hanging, with no evidence of any criminal element or suspicious circumstances.
Police stated that the identity of the deceased is still being verified, and have sent the deceased's fingerprints to the Criminal Investigation Department as well as the Immigration and National Registration Department for assistance in identification. The police urge anyone who knows the deceased or has information about their identity to proactively contact the nearest police station and provide information.
Police also advise the public not to make unfounded speculations or spread unverified information, so as to avoid causing public unrest. Any further developments will be announced through official police channels.
