59-year-old Joey Wong, forever remembered as 'Xiao Qian,' has settled in Vancouver, Canada since her retirement from the entertainment industry in 2004, and her every move still draws public attention. In recent years, although she has faded from the silver screen, she has quietly expanded her career into the wellness industry. Not only did she open a moxibustion clinic in Vancouver, but she has also recently ventured into Silicon Valley in the United States as a founder. Recently, she was interviewed on a program, where she talked about why she chose to step away from showbiz and the real reasons behind her cross-industry entrepreneurship today.
Speaking about the motivation to create a healing space, she laughed and attributed it to fate, revealing that she was deeply inspired the first time she came into contact with the field. Joey Wong believes that while people possess a physical body and form, the spiritual dimension is just as essential. She uses life and death as a metaphor with great openness, stating frankly that when a person loses their life, although the body still exists, "if the soul has departed, it loses its original meaning." She further points out that even if one is still alive, "if the inner spiritual aspect is neglected, one may still feel empty and lost." Thus, she believes that modern people should place even greater importance on the balance of physical and mental health.
