Iran 'Not Certain' About Reaching Agreement with the U.S.

Iranian Foreign Minister Araghchi stated on the 29th that regarding the reports about Iran and the United States nearing an agreement, 'we are not certain if we have reached that point.'

He posted on social media that Iran sincerely seeks a diplomatic solution that aligns with the interests of all parties, but to achieve this goal, it is necessary to reach a comprehensive agreement that terminates all sanctions and preserves Iran's nuclear rights, including uranium enrichment. The path to an agreement lies on the negotiating table, not through the media.

U.S. President Trump said to the media at the White House on the 28th that the United States and Iran are 'very close to reaching a solution,' and 'the situation could change at any moment, with a phone call capable of changing everything,' and that an agreement could be reached 'in the next few weeks.'

The political advisor to Iran’s Supreme Leader Khamenei, Shamkhani, responded to Trump's remarks on social media on the 29th, stating that negotiations are a tool to achieve progress, safeguard interests, and maintain national dignity, rather than being imposed on or submitting to others.

Under Oman's mediation, the United States and Iran held the 5th round of indirect talks in Rome, Italy, on the 23rd.
