Rax Wang Zheng Jun Ren Releases Debut Single, Fans Present Cash Bouquet

Malaysian singer Wang Zheng Jun Ren (Rax) has gained a huge following after participating in 'Midlife, Sing & Shine 3'. To celebrate the release of his debut single 'I Am the Stage', fans specially surprised him with a cash bouquet made of hundred-dollar bills. He said this was the third time receiving a cash bouquet from fans—the first was at the press conference for the Hong Kong Top 8 Concert, then earlier back in Malaysia during the ‘Midlife, Sing & Shine 4’ audition, and now once again at his single launch event. These thoughtful gifts from fans left him deeply moved.

Hailing from Penang, Wang Zheng Jun Ren participated in TVB's 'Midlife, Sing & Shine 3' last year. His astonishing high notes earned him the title 'Prince of Dolphin Notes', and his outstanding stage presence wowed audiences. Although he ultimately finished in the top 8, he had already attracted a devoted fan base, leading to the formation of the Rax Wang Zheng Jun Ren International Support Group. This Sunday afternoon, he specially returned to Malaysia for a new song launch and media meet-and-greet event for his debut single 'I Am the Stage'. Several fellow contestants Chen Yi Shen, Li Jun Jie, Liu Chuan Min, He Ping Qiu, He Ping Liang, Zhang Shu Feng, and Xiao Wei Lun showed up to support him, while his Dolphin Fans were also invited to witness the joy of him having his own song.

Wang Zheng Jun Ren’s new song 'I Am the Stage' was composed by renowned Hong Kong musician Cheung Ka Shing and written by Deng Qian Ying, specially tailored for him. About this, he feels very lucky—ever since stepping onto the 'Midlife, Sing & Shine 3' stage last year, he has been loved and supported by so many people. To have his own song just a year later, he is extremely grateful for the opportunity and glad he made a bold decision at the right time.

His singing career centers on Malaysia and Hong Kong, though he hopes to break into the China market if there’s a chance. His work schedule is packed through January next year: this Thursday and Friday, he will perform in Singapore; mid-November, together with Sisley Choi, Brian Chu, and Hero Yuen, he’ll perform in Los Angeles and New York, USA. With this being his first time performing outside Asia, Wang Zheng Jun Ren admits he is incredibly excited to show American audiences his live show. As for a Malaysia concert, he says there are plans in motion and he hopes it can take shape in December. He also suggests possibly performing together with several fellow contestants at Resorts World Genting’s Arena of Stars.
