(Hanoi, 14th) On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and the "September 2nd" Vietnam National Day, Hanoi's Noi Bai International Airport has recorded its highest-ever volume of international visitors, with peak days expected to see nearly 44,000 international travelers.
According to information from Noi Bai International Airport, the surge in passenger numbers is primarily due to delegations from various countries arriving in Hanoi for the National Day celebration, along with the launch of several new international routes at the airport, further expanding its route network. Domestic passenger flow is also expected to increase significantly, as tens of thousands of people from across the country flock to the capital to participate in national-level cultural and artistic events.
On anticipated peak days, Noi Bai Airport will serve nearly 110,000 passengers and 638 flights, a year-on-year increase of 20%. From August 14 to September 2, airport operations will be exceptionally busy.
In response to the peak and any unexpected situations, relevant units have drawn up contingency plans, including implementing around-the-clock duty at the operations dispatch center, reallocating overnight aircraft to neighboring airports to free up international stands, and refueling arriving flights to manage potential air holding caused by operations or weather, all to ensure smooth commercial flight operations.
