Shu Qi's Directorial Debut Receives Another Good News: 'Girl' Makes It Into Toronto Film Festival, Earns Excellent Report Card

Shu Qi's first self-written and self-directed Hollywood film, Girl, after its strong entry into the main competition section of the 82nd Venice Film Festival, has once again received exciting news—it has officially been selected for the Focus section of the 50th Toronto International Film Festival, double the joy!

Upon consecutively receiving recognition from international film festivals, director Shu Qi exclaimed she felt "extremely delighted," and said: "Thank you to the entire crew who, from the sultry month of May, worked hard under the blazing sun through the hot months of June, July, August, and all the way to September, allowing Girl to achieve an outstanding report card at international film festivals."
