48-year-old Korean actor Park Si-hoo, who has starred in dramas such as ‘Sassy Girl Chun-hyang’ and ‘Which Star Are You From’, rose to fame with his lead role in ‘Prosecutor Princess’. In 2013, he was embroiled in a scandal involving sexual assault of an intoxicated woman, which was ultimately settled privately. After returning to acting in recent years, he has once again come under fire—this time for allegedly introducing mistresses to the husband of influencer Ms. A, an act likened to pimping, and causing further damage to his image.
According to Korean media reports, Ms. A, an influencer, publicly criticized Park Si-hoo in a post on the 5th of this month. She accused him of being outwardly respectful, always calling her “sister-in-law”, but secretly introducing other women to her husband as early as 2020. “You helped a man with kids connect with a mistress, which led to the breakdown of our family,” she wrote, also posting screenshots of chat records. In the chats, an account believed to be Park Si-hoo’s sends the mistress’s bank account details and personal information. Ms. A added that she also has important audio recordings as evidence.
Ms. A further admonished Park Si-hoo to “know when to stop”, saying that she has heard he is now a TikTok streamer and acting in new dramas. “Congratulations, I still have many more surprises for you. Go ahead and sue me if you want—I’ve already lost my child, I have nothing left to fear.” On the morning of the 6th, Park Si-hoo was still replying to comments online, appearing unaffected, and has not issued an official response.
Park Si-hoo was once a favored leading man in Korean dramas, but in 2013 a female trainee accused him of sexual assault while she was drunk. Park Si-hoo countersued for false accusation and extortion. Though the trainee eventually withdrew her complaint and settled, allowing Park Si-hoo to escape criminal charges, the incident severely damaged his reputation and forced him to shift his career to China for a time. In recent years, he returned to Korea, appearing in variety shows such as ‘Dad and I’ and the drama ‘Mentalist’. Unexpectedly, he is now embroiled in scandal again, further eroding fans’ trust.
