(Ipoh, 29th) Thirty officers from the Bukit Aman Criminal Investigation Department participated in the Future Leaders Program of the CID Police Department, held from the 16th of this month to today in the Titiwangsa mountain range area for 2024.
Deputy Inspector General of Police Datuk Seri Ayob Khan stated that this inaugural training program is conducted in collaboration with the 69 Commando Unit (Komando VAT 69).
“This first-time training event was the brainchild of Bukit Aman CID Director Datuk Seri Suhaily, and received cooperation from the VAT 69 Command, Perak Police Headquarters, and Pahang Police Headquarters.
“Participants of this program will undergo training that challenges both physical and mental endurance, particularly jungle survival training.”
He mentioned this to reporters after the closing ceremony of the Police CIS Future Leaders Program today.
Ayob Khan highlighted that this training program should be promoted to other departments within the police force as it helps in cultivating team spirit.
“This training is not easy as it requires teamwork to overcome all the obstacles in the forest. I believe after this training, the spirit of cooperation will be greatly strengthened.”
On another note, Suhaily mentioned that weather was the main challenge faced by participants throughout the training process, testing their mental and physical endurance in the jungle.
He said the Bukit Aman Criminal Investigation Department will continue to implement similar training programs to enhance team cooperation levels.
“However, future training will incorporate survival elements, and we may cut off food supplies for 24 or 48 hours so we can observe how they cope mentally and physically.”
