FIFA President Gianni Infantino announced on Tuesday that US President Trump will attend the World Cup final on July 19 at the New Jersey New York Stadium, and will present the trophy to the winning team.
This year's World Cup final will take place at 3 a.m. Malaysia time on July 20.
Infantino has developed increasingly close ties with Trump in recent years. In December 2025, Infantino also awarded Trump the inaugural 'FIFA Peace Prize', newly established by FIFA. Trump has also been actively involved in a variety of top global sporting events.
Speaking on the US television show "Fox and Friends", Infantino said: "We will watch the final together with the President. Of course, we will also present the trophy to the winning team together."
