Member of Parliament Chiew Choon Man Distributes Calendars at Serbekas Night Market

(Miri, 29th) Miri Member of Parliament Chiew Choon Man recently visited Serbekas  Night Market to distribute 2025 calendars to vendors and tourists, and engaged in friendly interactions with the local community to listen to their opinions and needs.

He said that  Serbekas  Night Market is not only a focal point for local residents but also an important tourism asset. As Miri's only night market, it has significant potential to attract more domestic and international tourists. Therefore, we have a responsibility to maintain its uniqueness, thereby utilizing this opportunity to boost local economic growth and improve the living standards of local residents.

“I also recognize the need to improve the facilities at the Sungai Tujuh Checkpoint, so that more visitors from Brunei can visit the night market and stimulate economic activity. Additionally, with the efforts and support of the Madani government, I believe any efforts to promote national economic growth will begin to show stronger results in 2025, further benefiting all the people of Miri.”

He also said, as the New Year approaches, I take this opportunity to express my gratitude for the continuous support from vendors and tourists. I also call on everyone to empower the welfare and development of Miri city, ensuring lasting progress and harmony.
