Passenger Attempts to Open Cabin Door Mid-flight; Cathay Crew Responds Promptly

Cathay Pacific stated on the 12th that on flight CX811 from Boston, USA to Hong Kong on the 10th, a passenger attempted to open the aircraft cabin door mid-flight.

According to Central News Agency reports, Cathay Pacific said that no one was injured in the incident and the flight landed safely on the morning of the 11th. The matter is currently being handled by the Hong Kong police.

Hong Kong police have not immediately responded to inquiries from foreign media.

Cathay Pacific stated: "Our cabin crew immediately handled the situation, checked the cabin door to ensure it was securely closed, and reported the incident to the relevant authorities and police for follow-up."

According to Hong Kong media ‘South China Morning Post’, the passenger involved is a 20-year-old Chinese man. Foreign media could not independently verify the identity of this passenger.
