Singapore Prime Minister Lawrence Wong sent a letter to CPC General Secretary Xi Jinping, congratulating the CPC on its 105th anniversary. He expressed anticipation for closer cooperation in the years ahead and conveyed his confidence that the two countries, upholding their shared commitment to peace, stability, and development, can continue to enhance the well-being of both peoples.

Lawrence Wong, in his capacity as Secretary-General of the People's Action Party, represented the PAP and its Central Executive Committee in sending the warmest congratulations to Xi Jinping on the occasion of this important CPC milestone.

At the end of his congratulatory letter, he also wrote by hand in Chinese, "May the friendship between our two parties last forever, and may we jointly promote peace, stability, and prosperous development!"

Wong wrote that over its 105-year history, the CPC has grown from its initial 50 or so members to the world's largest governing political party with more than 100 million members, leading a country with a population exceeding 1.4 billion. This major milestone coincides with the start of China's 15th Five-Year Plan (2026–2030), providing an opportunity to reflect on the CPC's achievements and look ahead to its future vision.

He said, "Over the past century, the CPC has led China through profound transformation. It has lifted hundreds of millions out of poverty, improved living standards, and transformed China into the world’s second-largest economy. The CPC has also promoted rural revitalization, expanded the social security system, and achieved significant progress in healthcare, education, and other areas of human development."
