Singapore received 1.3 million foreign visitors in November this year, an increase of 5% compared to the same period last year.
According to a report by Lianhe Zaobao, the latest data released by the Singapore Tourism Board on the 15th shows that as of last month, Singapore has received a total of 15.5 million visitors so far this year, a year-on-year increase of 3%.
The top three source markets for visitors this year remain unchanged: China (2.9 million), Indonesia (2.2 million), and Malaysia (1.2 million).
Last month, the number of Chinese visitors increased by 16% year-on-year, reaching 204,000. The Tourism Board pointed out that this coincided with the first time China implemented an autumn holiday for primary and secondary school students, with pilot cities in provinces such as Zhejiang, Sichuan, and Guangdong. These cities had an additional three days of holiday, which, together with the weekend, extended the break to five days.
