Hong Kong actor Yeung Sheung-ban passed away at 4:20am on the 11th at the age of 43. His younger brother announced the obituary through Yeung Sheung-ban’s social media platforms, without revealing the exact cause of death, but stated that he left peacefully, accompanied by his mother, brother, and close friends. He also thanked everyone for their concern and support over the years. Funeral arrangements will be announced at a later date.

According to 'Hong Kong 01', Yeung Sheung-ban’s brother wrote in his post: "Now, he can finally let go of all his pain and troubles, return to the embrace of his father and Heavenly Father, and obtain eternal peace." He also hoped that everyone who loved him would remember his warm smile in life.

In 1997, Yeung Sheung-ban won the 'Most Liked Leon Lai Imitation Competition in Hong Kong', and the following year was crowned champion again at a singing contest in Canada. He officially debuted in the 2000s, once signed with 'Emperor Entertainment' and filmed commercials with Joey Yung. However, his career did not develop as expected and he terminated his contract early. Afterwards, he switched to being a dancer, performed as a backup dancer for Sandy Lam’s tours, and formed the boy band 'Bro5' with artists like Ho Ho-man. After the group disbanded, he studied drama, gained recognition from director Kearen Pang, and participated in stage plays and the film '29+1', where he played Chrissie Chau's boyfriend and showcased his signature Leon Lai impersonation with the song 'Sorry, I Love You'.

In recent years, Yeung Sheung-ban rarely had public works. In 2024, he revealed on social media that he was struggling with depression, writing: "I have already forgotten when I learned to smile. Yet, unknowingly, I got used to hiding myself." After the news broke, many fans and friends from the industry expressed their sorrow and condolences.
