Lee Kim Shin: Che Lee Khor Passes on Love, Exhibiting the Spirit of Great Love Regardless of Race or Religion

(Miri, 24th) Sarawak Transport Minister YB Dato Sri Lee Kim Shin stated that the Miri Che Lee Khor Moral Uplifting Society has long been committed to selfless dedication, actively promoting charity activities, caring for underprivileged groups across all social strata regardless of race or religion, showcasing the spirit of great love, which is worthy of emulation by all sectors of society.

He expressed this in his speech at the “Hari Raya Goodies Giving Away 2025” event organized by the Miri Che Lee Khor Moral Uplifting Society yesterday morning.

Lee Kim Shin thanked the Miri Che Lee Khor Moral Uplifting Society for the invitation, giving him the opportunity to participate in this meaningful charity event, and share the joy of Hari Raya with everyone, spreading the warmth and love of the festival.

He also thanked the board members of Che Lee Khor for their relentless efforts in organizing this annual charity event, which has entered its 14th year, continually providing care and assistance to those in need in society, demonstrating true care and generosity, and reflecting social responsibility and the spirit of charity, which is highly commendable.

He pointed out that this event is not just about distributing goods, but more importantly, it is about spreading kindness, providing moral support, allowing underprivileged groups to feel the warmth and care of society during festive periods, to feel that they are part of the community family.

"It is worth mentioning that Che Lee Khor is devoted to helping all those in need regardless of race and religious background, this spirit of selflessness and inclusivity is exactly what we need most in our society."

He emphasized that Sarawak has always been proud of its diversity and harmony, and the good deeds of Che Lee Khor perfectly reflect the unity and mutual help spirit of the people of Sarawak, reminding everyone that "kindness has no boundaries, love knows no distinctions."

Lee Kim Shin also praised Che Lee Khor for their quick response and initiation of disaster relief activities after the floods in Miri, Sibuti, and Permyjaya, providing aid to affected families.

He said, these humanitarian deeds and the support of businesses and organizations across the nation fully demonstrate the cohesion and caring spirit of the community.

He said, the government has always highly valued and affirmed the important role that non-governmental organizations play in promoting charity, assisting vulnerable groups, Che Lee Khor's efforts are not limited to festive giveaways, even disaster relief aid actively participates, truly bringing warmth and strength to society.

"On behalf of the government, I promise, we will continue to support initiatives that promote charity activities that are more loving and stronger."

Lee Kim Shin also thanked the organizing committee, volunteers, and all sponsors for their hard work and generous support, allowing the event to be successfully held and continued for many years.

He also took this opportunity to extend festive greetings to Muslim friends, wishing everyone a happy Hari Raya, and that everyone remains safe, happy, and prosperous.
