The Xinjiang actress Gulinazha has deep-set features, but because she was so beautiful, she was glared at fiercely by her seniors during her school days and became very intimidated. In the past, she could only speak Uyghur and didn’t speak Mandarin. Her mother transferred her to an elite boarding school, hoping she could learn Mandarin, but after entering the school, she instead felt like she was 'retarded.'
Gulinazha’s striking looks made her parents hold high hopes for her, wishing she could find a good job—they never expected her to become an actress. Gulinazha was raised by her grandparents, and her family spoke Uyghur at home, so she couldn’t speak a word of Mandarin. Her mother helped her transfer to a private elite boarding school and paid an exorbitant tuition, all in hopes of her learning Mandarin well.
After starting at the new school, she didn’t know even a word of Mandarin and felt as if she was 'retarded.' Initially, her mother even considered giving up, but fortunately, the school managed to teach her within two months. Those who bullied her at the time could only look at her differently.
Gulinazha admits she doesn’t have many close friends. Even if people want to befriend her, they feel she is distant. In fact, her past experiences of being disliked also made her fearful; so in her free time, she prefers to stay home and doesn’t like going out. As long as she can binge shows at home, she feels very happy.
