(Bandar Seri Begawan, 19th) The Brunei Basketball Association will host the 3rd Aewon PPE Inter-School Basketball Championship from August 24 to September 7, 2025.
Aewon Garment Sdn Bhd Director Lau Hee Seng and Aewon-Sherwood Protective Apparel Business Development Manager Lim Yicheng handed over a sponsorship cheque of $7,000 to Brunei Basketball Association Chairman Wu Ji Xing.
With the support of the Co-curriculum Department, Ministry of Education, the AEWON PPE Inter-School Basketball Championship has attracted 8 schools to take part in the U18 boys’ competition, while 6 schools will compete in the U18 girls’ competition.
Boys’ participating school teams: Maktab Duli PMAMB, Sekolah Menengah Jamalul Alam, International School Brunei, St Andrew’s School, St George’s School, Chung Ching Middle School, Chung Hwa Middle School (BSB), and Chung Hua Middle School (KB).
Girls’ participating school teams: International School Brunei, Jerudong International School, St. George’s School, St. Andrew’s School, Chung Hwa Middle School (BSB), and Sekolah Tinggi Perempuan Raja Isteri (STPRI).
Brunei Basketball Association Chairman Wu Ji Xing stated, “Our main purpose in hosting the inter-school championships is to provide young people with the opportunity to cultivate essential life skills such as communication, perseverance and discipline through competition.”
All matches will be held at the Brunei Basketball Association court in Batu Bersurat.
